We had a chat with Cameron Gatt, Bookkeeper/Junior Accountant at Sports Accounting Australia, located in Melbourne's Scoresby.
1. How long have you been using Formitize?
Sports Accounting Australia has been using Formitize since December 2021, coming up on 2 years.
2. How long have you been an Innovation Partner?
Since June this year (2023).
3. Why did you choose to become an Innovation Partner?
We are often implementing new processes to increase efficiency for our clients and to deliver our services. Not only does the Innovation Partner Program allow us to set up a new client, it also allows us to copy existing forms we have created to a new client before fine-tuning to suit their needs. This saves us from creating new forms from scratch.
Formitize’s ongoing product development and new features also assist us in creating more efficiencies in our practice and for our clients. Becoming an Innovation Partner seemed like a great opportunity to discuss further ideas for development and create a strong relationship.
4. What is your favourite Formitize feature and why?
My favourite Formitize feature is its ability to integrate with Xero. When this was released, it was another jump in efficiency on top of collecting forms and data digitally.
Another favourite feature is Formitize's product support. We always receive prompt and detailed responses for any issues we are facing as well as offering more effective suggestions & work arounds.
5. How much time does Formitize save you every week (estimate)?
It’s hard to put a number on it as our clients can experience certain times with increased business activity (eg around events). That being said, we go through periods where Formitize can save us countless hours per week for our clients and our practice.
6. What is your favourite part of the working week?
My favourite part of the week is meeting up with the team and discussing how everyone is going and if anyone requires any help. I love working in a team environment and being able to assist others where I can.
7. What do you love most about your job?
The thing I love most about my job is finding new and innovative ways to do tasks. I love creating more efficiencies and better practices whether that’s within our practice or for our clients. Formitize has made a huge impact in my ability to come up with new solutions and workflows to streamline data and information flows.
8. Where do you see yourself in 10 years from now?
This is a tough question to answer as I am really happy with where I am. I am looking forward to graduating in 2023 and continuing to work at Sports Accounting Australia for the foreseeable future.
